The Global Immunization Meeting (GIM) provides an opportunity for key immunization actors from the global, regional, and country levels to come together to discuss the latest developments and challenges in the field of immunization. Historically held every two years, the meeting centers on a theme that is chosen to highlight and expand upon the most important discussions in the field. The 2018 theme of the GIM was Navigating Transitions, providing an opportunity to work toward a common understanding of current changes, such as the Gavi transition, the polio transition, and to explore new opportunities for action as the Global Vaccine Action plan comes to a close in 2020.
